Some coffees tell a story through their flavor. Others tell a story through the place they come from. Our Kilimanjaro Peaberry does both.

Grown on the fertile southern slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest mountain, this exceptional Tanzanian coffee benefits from volcanic soil, cool mountain temperatures, indigenous shade trees, and glacier-fed rivers. These remarkable growing conditions help produce a cup that is both vibrant and approachable, with tasting notes of brown sugar, raisins, dark chocolate, lime, and stewed tomatoes.

What makes this coffee especially unique is that it's a peaberry.

Most coffee cherries contain two seeds that grow pressed together inside the fruit. Occasionally, however, a cherry produces just one small, round seed. This natural mutation is called a peaberry, and we see this in about 10% of coffee cherries.

Because the single seed receives all of the cherry's nutrients, many coffee lovers appreciate peaberries for their concentrated sweetness, clarity, and complexity in the cup.
